Feelings are roads, with different colours and surfaces. In New Year, I arrive on a skateboard. A ginger horizon stretches before me. Colours are signposts, although they keep changing, I like to follow them.

One afternoon, Destined / Namienionô – a bilingual poetry book by Małgorzata Wątor fell through the letter slot in the blue door of my apartment in Galway, Ireland. A first poem called to me in the corridor yet.

The consent to grey hair is a step in getting along with yourself – I read in “Vogue” and kissed the silver strands that have been snowing in my curls for several years.
I think, the first grey hair is difficult to accept, because it is associated with old age, and seems far from the promoted canon of beauty. I had a period where I was thinking I would be forever young. So, when I saw my debut grey hair a few years ago, I started to cut it out, because it was to early have them – I have supposed.

For the summer escapade we went three times to County Clare which stretches on the south from Galway. We have discovered the Burren dominated by glaciated karst, bright spaces but also caves, mysterious archaeological traces, cliffs of all sizes, magical greenness and colourful cottages.

the cherry blossom

we were really waiting for.
from the poem “Cranes lean in” by Imtia Dharker
I’ve always liked to observe the world around me, but since I slowed down more because of a pandemic, I start to see my local piece more clearly. Every morning when I go out to do exercises by the river, I meet up over a dozen species of birds in twenty minutes. Before I usually heard the loudly screaming gulls like in a tube.

He is a painter, his job is to paint. For himself, for painting, because that is his vocation, because he would not be able to not transform what he sees into the painting works.
– wrote Henri Perruchot in the book “Cézanne”.
This is one of my favourite publications. It made me want to go to Aix-de-Provence, a small town in France, where a boy was born, who at the age of five scribbled with charcoal on the walls of what surrounding him, and people were surprised how realistic it was.

Continue readingTheatre as a mirror
– Theatre is complicated because is about our everyday moods, emotions and fears
– so said Emmauel Demarcy-Mota, director of one of the stage in Paris during the press conference in Sibiu, Romania which I have attended.
If you follow my blog you know that last summer, I spent almost a month as a volunteer at the Sibiu International Theatre Festival, the biggest theatre festival on the world. Where I have been writing reports about volunteers work and I helped the artists to organise shows on the main square. During this time I met so many charismatic people from cultural field, but I wrote almost nothing about theatre. I wondered why?

Belive that a further shore is reachable from here
Seamus Heaney
When I landed in Bucharest was very late, so I was worring a bit how I will get to the city centre, where I had one night accommodation. But to my surprise the ticket office was still open (at 22pm) and I found a bus which took me to the centre of mysterious city. While the ride I was still thinking how I will find the apartment in the middle of the night. Meanwhile I met an angel – local girl, who has led me to my place. She also hugged me and gave warmly wishes, so much needed, when you are alone in foreign country.
