John Keats – poems that have a fragrant and a flavor

I come home from work with Marta and Wiktor, the road is illuminated by the sun, and the minutes are alive by Wierd Fishes, the song of RADIOHEAD. Pretty soon I get off at Tesco and run through the narrow streets to my hairdresser Helena. After an hour, I leave with an artistically tousled haircut that I love. I feel blissful and drop into Marks & Spencer, where I get an orange facial wash and sage to sprinkle my afternoon toasts. But I have no idea, that I’ll read poems by John Keats English Romantic poet. Because when I enter my apartment, there is a package from Baśka, waiting for me. The book with poems together with Jane Campion’s film “Bright Star”.

Shoefiti – Graffiti Hanged Up In the Air

Sometimes a part of us gets hung up on the power line like sneakers that have been spinning over Distillery Road in Galway for few days. Have you ever wondered why someone throws shoes on the electric wire in your city? I always thought that whoever did it, wanted to show cleverness after a few beers. Although I have to admit that the sneakers in every position arouse my sympathy.

“The dig” – facts and myths

Do you know that Archaeology brought me to Ireland? Ten years ago, I was working on the excavations, when the rain dripped down on my back. Recently The dig I have seen on Netflix, refreshed my thrill of explorer and push me to discover more about Basil Brown with other characters in this curious archaeological story. I dived into British sources and found interesting information on the British Museum blog. Also I discovered a great blog by the local historian from Ipswich Caleb Howgego. Step by step I had verified the facts and myths, but the true answer came at the end in the excavation report, published in 1940 in the Journal of Antiquity.

Discovering Lisbon

I went to Lisbon impressed by Wim Wenders’ film Lisbon Story. The blue-yellow city situated on the hills and the red Ponte 25 de Abril bridge over the Tagus river appeared from the plane’s window exactly like in the movie.
