When I see you I am pierced
by light thrusting through me
from the poem of Lucian Blaga – Romanian poet
Sibiu, the city in the heart of Transylvania delights me with the details every day. When I walk on the cobbled streets, the roofs look at me, because they have eyes.
I like the most the Lower Town where I live now. This is the old part of the city with small streets and steps paths like in Lisbon. I stop every moment even I run because so many particulars things around inspire me. Especially the beautiful gates which are wooden and painted of vintage colours. Each door have unique elements: handles, brass door knockers, mail boxes and various ornaments.
Behind them very interesting gardens are located. Sometimes the yards remind me the medieval galleries.
When I ramble in the town, I am pierces by the light thrusting through me like the poet Lucian Blaga wrote. He studied at Sibiu. The light in Sibiu is not only from the sun, because sometimes is rainning, but this light shines from the spirit of place.
One restaurant in this part of city has incredible garden with pink roses. I love sit down there after the intensive day and enjoy glass of Feteasca Negra, summer evening and Romania – mysterious country, where I can be now.

Bema budyneczek, którego okna i drzwi tworzą twarz 🙂
