One day, I saw a tall tree on the sunny grass. Its taproots were so spreading so I decided to sit on one of them, and I rested my back on a warm trunk. It was so comfortable like sitting in an armchair and I felt great. Then I thought to go back to this tree every day, which unexpectedly became my companion.

“Heaven to rent” – collage workshop via Skype
When I make paper collages I cut out something from inside me: dreams, emotions, the future. Then suddenly I can walk on a lavender field in a green coat. Heathers grow out of my head. The cat smells like the sun.
Following my imagination, I am looking for what I miss.

In my hut this spring,
There is nothing –
There is everything!
/Haiku, Jamaguchi Sodo/
Soft steps on the carpet, breathing, swallowing saliva, birds chirping, rain knocking on the window. I hear it when I sit down in meditation. My thoughts flow like boats on a rough ocean. Silence slowly measure an existence.

–Hey Barista
– some people call me at work, and I value this nickname because I like to make coffee and drink it.
Recently, one customer told me that he likes coffee made exactly by me. Then I realized that the fact how I care about making each coffee makes sense.

– These are not just colourful fabrics, this is my identity, the country I come from, the taste of my childhood.
-so Virtue Shine told me, a fashion designer from Ghana who now sews brightly colored clothes in Galway.
January in Ireland over the wild Atlantic is a burden. Heavy rain, gales, hail, grey colour skies. Meanwhile I enter Virtue’s studio and there I can see hundreds of special fabrics around, each with different patterns and colours. On the hangers are dresses, skirts, jackets, scarves, bags and birds.
– Working with colours here in Galway, where the sky is clouded so often is a great privilege, because the colour is a mood lifter and can preset my day
– says Virtue.

The first day of Christmas is gray. I pour coffee into an orange, travel cup and tea into a thermos, wrap four pieces of poppy seed cake. We go to Connemara. Can’t imagine to visit her on Christmas, actually I can’t already imagine to live without her.
Beige hills, raw rocks, wet khaki colorued grasses and white-blue sheep awake me to the authenticity.

When I make Christmas cards I become a child again.
I see how is snowing at night from my childhood and can hear the creak of wooden floor from the living room. Christmas tree is situated on a sideboard, which my grandfather found after the second war on the Warsaw’s street.
Moment shines, the street is white at night and I am waiting with the nose stuck to the window.
I cut images from the paper, the same, which I have in my memory. Then attach ribbons, buttons, and I wear elks in a crochet scarfs.

“All our dreams can come true, if we have a courage to pursue them”
Ana makes traditional Venezuelan empanadas at Galway Fresh Market, each Saturday. In addition to delicious food, she always gives sunny smile to the people. The first time I met her was two years ago when my sister and my niece visited me. We were contented that we found terrific food on the street, also gluten-free. My niece, who can not eat gluten was very happy that she could have together with the same food in the middle of the city.
